How To Make an Android Cell Phone as Mouse and Keyboard for PC/Laptop
It is surely a hard situation if our mouse/keyboard is suddenly broken in middle of our computing works. For this kind situation, it may too long if try to buy another (new) mouse/keyboard. It is needed fast solution for this situation – moreover if we are in deadline. These days we can use our cell phone as fast solution to deal with this suddenly broken mouse/keyboard. No, it is not that we use our cell phone as PC/Laptop replacement. It is very hard to use cell phone as PC/Laptop, right?
So, in here, we will use our cell phone as mouse/keyboard replacement instead as PC/Laptop replacement. For this, we need to install the needed application into our smart phone. As example, if our mobile phone uses Android as OS, we can use RemoteDroid application to make our cell phone become a mouse. We just need to download RemoteDroid from Android Market for free and then install it in our Android mobile phone.
As additional, we also need to download and install RemoteDroid server app in our PC/Laptop (supports Windows and Mac OS). This application uses WiFi connection between cell phone and PC/Laptop so our Android cell phone and PC/Laptop must be equipped with WiFi capability. After install the needed software (RemoteDroid and RemoteDroid server app), we need to run both of it as well as WiFi connection.
The active RemoteDroid server app will be shown up the IP Address of PC/Laptop. This IP Address must be inserted in RemoteDroid app that installed in our Android cell phone. After that, we tap the [Connect] option and then the connection between mobile phone and PC/Laptop will be established. The Android cell phone is ready to act as mouse and keyboard for our PC/Laptop now. Our cell phone will act as Notebook touch-pad – complete with right and left button.
Beside as the mouse, Android cell phone’s virtual or physical keyboard also can be used as keyboard for our PC/Laptop. So,It can be said that RemoteDroid changes our Android cell phone become mouse as well as keyboard. Also that, we can control our PC/Laptop remotely. Beside the RemoteDroid, we also can use other applications such as Remote RDP Lite, Premote Droid, PaDroid, Android TrackPad, and June Controller which can be downloaded from Android Market for free.
