LG GD580 is a girl cell phone which target teenage girls market. This flip cell phone has the long and thin body which wrapped by metal casing with bright color. There are three color choice which are young gray, blue, and pink. The flip indicator it top make this cell phone’s look more attractive and girly. In open position, the screen and keypad will be showed. The keypad color is white and the buttons’ distance is wide enough. The keypad seems design for the girl which allow them to push the button comfortably without afraid to broke their nail.

There are some shortcut button available for this cell phone such as front lighting, multitasking, shortcut menu, volume control, and camera. The navigation button has round shape with silver touch. LG GB580 cell phone is equipped with 2.8 inch, 256K colors, 240×400 pixel, TFT screen which offer bright and sharp display. There is also a hidden screen in outside area, in bottom flip. This hidden camera show digital watch and animated icon while some features is working. The home screen display is ordinary but the wallpaper feature make it special. There are some wallpaper choice available for it.

Inside the menu, each icon is equipped with number that related to keypad buttons. Users allow to access the menu by pushing the button that represent the number in the icon. This way also work for folder list. It seems this way is offered to over come the difficult moving between keypad to navigation button because the distance between them. LG GD580 Lollipop cell phone is also equipped with accelerometer feature which allows screen display changing by hand movement. This feature will be very helpful while see photo and picture collection.

LG GD580 is equipped with two cameras – one in behind of body and another one in above of the screen. The behind camera is 3MP and the upper camera is VGA (640×480 pixel). The upper camera act as video streaming camera for video phone call. The prime camera quality is good for both of bright and dark condition. The photo result is sharp and clear enough. However the quality is not maximum for night condition. It may because there is no flashlight feature for it. The Movie Maker feature allows users to modify the photo and video easily. Movie Maker can customize the photo and video become slide video in MP4 format.

Each of slide video has capacity for 15 photo or 4 video. Users is allowed to give animated style and background music for this slide video. There are 10 animated style that users can use for the slide video. For background music, the duration is limited for 1 minute only. Users free to use song for this background music but need to cut it so can be fit in 1 minute limit time. The slide video result can be stored in cell phone memory and be transferable to other media such as PC/Laptop through data connectivity such as BlueTooth or Micro USB facility.

LG GD580 cell phone is equipped with music and radio features. For music, the song file list is not only grouped by artist name but also by music genre. The songs can be grouped in the play-list for easy playing. While the song is playing, the animated graphical display is showed. The below speaker produce a good quality sound even in maximum volume. The equalizer is provided to make the music experience better. For radio, this cell phone is equipped with FM radio facility. Since there is no external antenna, users should plug the hands-free to activate it. Frequency can be done automatically.

However LG GD580 do not live their name as girly cell phone in my opinion. It is because there are no Facebook and Twitter application in this cell phone. There are only Google Search and Google Maps application in it which is not girly enough. For internet connectivity, this cell phon support HDSPA, EDGE, GPRS, and WAP/xHTML. For mobile telecommunication network, this cell phone support GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz and HDSPA 2100 MHz. The batery is 800 mAh which offer 3 hours talk time and 250 hours stand-by time. For the entire facility, this cell phone is still worthy to have in my opinion.
