Nokia C6 cell phone is a discount price smart cell phone if compare with Nokia N97 or Nokia N97 mini cell phone. Yes, Nokia C6 cell phone has the similar features and design with Nokia N97 and Nokia N97 mini cell phone but with cheaper price. The different at design is that the thickness which is 16.8 mm. Nokia C6 cell phone is thicker than Nokia N97 cell phone series. Beside that, the different is also no more heptic buttons at below the screen. The buttons are changed by 3 physical buttons which are dial on, dial off, and menu.
The design is quite simple if compare with other Nokia cell phones. The casing is plastic material with black and white color touch. Nokia C6 cell phone is completed with full QWERTY keypad which will be shown after the back body is shifted. The buttons are big enough but too close each others so users may have difficulty to use it if their fingers is big. There are two additional buttons at right side of keypad which are navigation and execution button.
At the right side of body, there is volume control, screen lock, and camera. At the left side, there is micro SD slot which can be opened from outside. At the top, there is 3.5 mm audio jack and micro USB port. At bottom, there is a tiny port for charger. The screen is 16 M colors, 360×640 pixels, 3.2 inches, TFT resistive touch screen. The screen offers the bright and sharp color but still can not maximum in below of sun light.
As default, there are 6 boxes widget in the homescreen. At upper left cornet, there is the digital clock, date, and chosen profile. At beside, Side by side, there is the messenger, browser, Ovi Maps, and Ovi Shop. At the middle, there is contact photo and Facebook. At the tail part, there is Email, WiFi, Bluetooth, calculator, and Ovi Contacts. Users is allowed to customize the widget base on their needs. To clear the homescreen, users only need to brush the finger at the screen to left or to right.
The resistive touch screen is completed with stylus for easy usage. The response is better for stylus and the like if compare with finger. Nokia C6 cell phone is equipped with accelerometer and proximity sensor. It means that the vertical and horizontal changing can be done automatically by changing the cell phone position. The screen is also easy to be locked when used for voice calling so save from ear touch which can be very disturbing.
Nokia C6 cell phone is equipped with various application. There is Quickoffice application that can be used to save and read the Microsoft Office file. Users also can edit and create the word, exel, and power point document with it. There is also Zip Manager, Dictionary, and Adobe PDF Reader application. Nokica C6 cell phone is also equipped with news application such as CNN Video, ESPN Soccer, AP Mobile, and Bloomberg.For entertainment, there is YouTube, Drawing, Games, and Social Networking (Facebook, Fiendster, Hi5, and MySpace).
Nokia C6 cell phone supports multitasking for the application – up to 12 application in simultaneously. Users can monitor the running application by long pushing the menu button. For Internet, this cell phone supports HDSPA 3.6 Mbps and GPRS/EDGE Class 32. Please note that some applications need continuous updating to internet so may cost the internet connection. For other conductivities, there is WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, micro USB v2.0, WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML, RSS feeds, and 3.5 mm audio jack.
The camera is 5 MP, 2592×1944 pixels with auto-focus and LED flash. The photo quality is good enough both for outdoor and indoor as well as for day and night. The camera digital zoom is up to 4 times. For music, the speaker produce the clear sound but the bass sound is not so good. It is still not so good even though users already set the equalizer. That’s why users suggest to use headset for music listening. There is a lot of improving for sound quality if use the headset. There is also Radio FM feature which support automatic search. There is no internal antenna for it so headset is a must if want to use the radio FM feature.
The battery is Li-Ion 1200 mAh (BL-4J) which offers 420 minutes talk time for 2G, 300 minutes talk time for 3G, 400 hours standby time for 2G as well as 3G.
