Samsung GT S5753E Wave is a Bada OS powered smart phone that targets low and middle market. The design is very similar with Samsung S2523 Wave2 Scotia cell phone. In below touch screen, there are Menu, Call, and End button. The camera and power button can be found on the left side. On the right side, there is a volume button. On the top side, there are microUSB port and 3.5 mm audio jack. In behind of back cover, there are SIMcard and microSD slot which is already hotswap.
Samsung GT S5753E Wave cell phone’s screen is 256k colors 320×400 pixels 3.2 inches capacitive touch screen with multi-touch and double tap support. The display quality is good enough which includes high contrast level, good colors reproduction, and accelerometer. Unfortunately, there is no light sensor available so the contrast level must be set manually. This Samsung’s mobile phone is surely not a photograph cell phone since the camera quality and features is very standard. The camera resolutions are 3.2 Mega Pixels without flash-light and auto-focus.
The multi-shot, smile-shot, night-mode, and geo-tagging can be found on this Samsung GT S5753E Wave smart phone. To take a picture, users only can use the camera button. With this very standard quality and features, no wonder that the photo quality is low enough except for optimum light condition. The video result resolutions are 320×240 pixels in 15 fps. The video result is smooth enough but not so sharp when played. Not like its photograph feature, the Samsung GT S5753E Wave cell phone’s music feature is reliable enough.
By using the headset, the sound is soft and powerful. Also that, the bass and treble are balance. The 3.5 mm audio port is surely a big help since it allows users to use Senheisser to improve the sound quality. The speaker body’s sound quality is so-so. The sound is round but muffled. Samsung GT S5753E Wave mobile phone is powered by Samsung’s Bada 1.1 (which is upgradable to version 1.2) operating system (OS) which offers optimum online function. Samsung Bada OS allows users to intall application to micorSD and open multitasking window (by long pushing menu button). For user interface, GT S5753E Wave cell phone is equipped by TouchWizz UI 3.0. As default, there are three homescreens available which can be expanded to ten. As usual, the homescrens is frelly to be widgetized.
There are two options for virtual keypad which are standard keypad and full QWERTY keypad. The handwriting feature is also available but there is no stylus available. Samsung GT S5753E Wave smart phone’s phone-book can be synchronized with social networking such as Facebook and Twitter so users can get their friend phone number from it. The default internet applications are Facebook, Twitter, Social Hub, YouTube, Yahoo Messenger,and Palringo. If needed more applications, users can download it from Samsung Apps.
Samsung GT S5753E Wave cell phone’s web browser is the Dolfin 2.0 web browser which already supports HTML format and multi-window mode. Dolfin 2.0′s performance is good enough for both WAP and HTML. It is quite easy to activate email account on this cell phone. Only need to choose the email service then insert username and password. As simple as that. For internet connection, Samsung GT S5753E Wave mobile phone supports GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, and WiFi b/g/n. For networks, this cell phone supports GSM Quadband and WCDMA.
Samsung GT S5753E Wave smart phone supports Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 2.0, and 3.5 mm audio jack for other connectivity. The dimensions are 11×5.5×1.19 cm with 100 gram as weight. The CPU is 455 Mhz. The battery is Li-Ion 1200 mAh which offers 880 minutes (2G)/360 minutes (3G) talk time and 1000 hours (2G)/660 hours (3G) standby time. The internal memory is 100 MB which is upgradable up to 16GB microSD.
