Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro cell phone is the QWERTY slider cell phone with 15 mm as thickness. The design is simple, modern, and ergonomic with hand curve at body behind. The screen is 3.2 inch 16 M color 360×640 pixels TFT resistive touchscreen. The resistive touchscreen may become a set back since this technology is less responsive. Also that, there is no proximity censor which useful to lock the screen when receive the call. Fortunately, there is the accelerometer technology which allow to change the screen’s display automatically from vertical to horizontal and contrary.

As additional, accelerometer technology also can be used to deactivate call tone and alarm – only needed to activate the tuning control at the censor setting. There are 5 choices of homescreen that users can show at the screen which are favorite contact, twitter, animation wallpaper, photo album, and favorite application shortcut. Beside those five choices, as additional, users can choose adobe flash and picture theme. In below of the screen, there are buttons such as dial on, menu, dial off. As multimedia tools, there is 5 MP camera with auto-focus and LED flash feature. There are many supported mode for the camera such as macro, panorama, smile shot, image stabilizer, geo-tagging, auto-focus, face detection, and touch focus. The set back is that the flash can not be used automatically in auto mode. Users allow to edit the photo result directly at the cell phone. The photo also can be uploaded directly to Twitter and Facebook or sent via Email, bluetooth,and print feature. Please be aware that the photo quality will be reduced much after moved to PC/Laptop.

The video recording quality is good enough – the video result is smooth when played. It is because the video have a good resolution which is 1280×720 pixel at 24 fps. Users allow to directly upload the video to YouTube, blog, or other web site. For music, Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro cell phone offers Audiobook, Play Now, and Pod Casts feature. Unfortunately, there is no equalizer feature so users can not control the music sound base on the music genre. The speaker quality is so so which mean the sound is not round enough. Luckily, users can use hands-free for better sound quality.

The Radio FM feature complete the music feature. This feature must be used by using hands-free since there is no external antenna available. Radio FM feature offers automatic searching. The result will be saved directly in the list. Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro cell phone use WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, and Micro USB as data connectivity. The battery is Li-Po 1200 mAh which provides 750 minutes talk time for 2G, 310 minutes talk time for 3G and 430 hours standby time for 2G, 440 hours for 3G. This cell phone is equipped with two navigation application which are Google Maps and WisePilot. The Operating System (OS) is Symbian Series 60, 5th edition.
